Dr. Hope Bradley
Associate Veterinarian
My name is Hope Bradley, and I was born in Charleston, West Virginia. From a young age, I was captivated by animals. I kept a diary filled with animal facts, and that curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion for their care and well-being.
I began my academic journey in a small town in northern West Virginia, where I gained valuable hands-on experience with agriculture and large animals. Later, I transferred to North Carolina State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. I went on to pursue a master’s in Veterinary Forensic Science at the University of Florida, and soon after, I was accepted into veterinary school at St. George’s University. I completed my clinical year at the University of Tennessee.
Throughout my education, I developed a strong interest in large animals. But during veterinary school, I discovered my true calling: working with companion animals. That shift in focus has shaped my career and deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to the animals who are part of our families.
Living on an island during veterinary school was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. It taught me how to be resourceful and resilient — qualities I continue to rely on in my professional life. Being far from my close-knit family and beloved pets while pursuing my dream was difficult, but it reinforced how deeply I value connection and care, both personally and professionally.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my horse — we’ve grown up together since middle school. My two dogs and I enjoy hiking trails and curling up for movie nights. I also swim regularly to stay active and clear my mind.
Every step of my journey has brought me closer to the veterinarian I am today: grounded, compassionate, and committed to the animals I serve.
